NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES
Area Plitvice lakes are declared national park in 1949, in a wooded valley surrounded by high mountains, there are sixteen larger and smaller lakes with a combination of crystal clear and blue green water. Water flows in rivers and many streams and lakes are connected true foaming cascades and thundering waterfalls. Because of its uniqueness and extraordinary beauty the Plitvice Lakes in 1949, were declared by UNESCO as world cultural heritage. In arid and poorly covered karst you will find a wealth of water in densely wooded mountains. The arrangements of nature are varied and inexhaustible, and every time you will find something new. Well-developed network of nature and hiking trails related with rides in a boat and panoramic vehicle will help you discover all Plitvice motives and will make your visit a memorable experience.
NATIONAL PARK PAKLENICA
Velebit mountain was named the world's reserve biosfere in 1978. Interesting part of the mountain makes his part called Paklenica. Scenery Paklenica karst phenomena, rich in flora and fauna are unique magic of nature. 1949 Paklenica was declared a national park. Paklenica was created by erosion, and there are numerous caves and cliffs rising up to 400 m, due to its extremely high cliffs Paklenica is also known as a paradise for climbers. This park is a green oasis near the sea because the area is largely wooded park, a forest has remained intact in its original form. The coastal area of the park has a Mediterranean climate but in the interior of the park is continental klima. This very attractive combination of different influences is ideal for a holiday on the coast near the park.
NATIONAL PARK KORNATI
In the central part of the Croatian Adriatic, there is a separate and in many ways a special group of islands called Kornati. Because exceptional landscape beauty, interesting geomorphology, indented coastline, and especially the rich biodiversity of the marine ecosystem in 1980 greater part of the Kornati archipelago was declared a national park. Today Kornati National Park occupies an area of 220 km2 and includes 89 islands, islets and rocks with approximately 238 km of coastline. Despite this relatively large number of islands, the continental part of the park makes less than 1 / 4 the total area, while the rest is the marine ecosystem.
ZADAR
Zadar, almost 3,000 years old city is the center of the region and for centuries the capital of Dalmatia. The old city is full of monuments of the ancient world, the early Christian Gothic, and Renaissance and Baroque churches bear witness to its rich history. Zadar two thousand years ago was the most powerful city on the east coast of the Adiatic sea. It was founded by the Roman legions, Caesar's veterans, under the name Colonia Jadera. Historic monuments testify to the changes and different styles.
PAG
Pag Island is the most southern island of the Kvarner Bay, linked by ferry to the north and the south over the bridge to the nearby town of Zadar. Pag is famous for its superb art, Pag cheese, jaundice - a local white wine, and excellent lamb, which is unique because of the rare vegetation, which in itself has a high level of salt. The eastern side of the island because of gale force wind effects, it seems unreal, "bald", and natural stone walls of the island as representing the lunar landscape, while on the west coast, sheltered from the wind, is rich in vegetation. West coast stretches endless olive groves, pine forests, vineyards and arable fields
NOVALJA
Novalja is one of the most popular tourist destination and center of the island Pag. The city is named after the Romans. The historical roots of Novalja go back into the distant past, which the numerous archaeological finds can prove, such as ancient, 1.5 km pipeline from the first century, the ruins of fortress walls, and buildings and relics from the fourth century witnessed the tumultuous history of this island.
ZAVRATNICA
Zavratnica is certainly one of the most beautiful bays of the Croatian coast. Looks like a miniature Norwegian fjords. It is only 15 minutes walk along the shore of Jablanac. Until it can be reached from the village Zavratnica, dropping to a sandy path from the gazebo to the bay. The bay is 900 m. long and the width ranges from 50 to 150 m. The canyon rises to a height of 100 m. Due to its natural value is 1964th was declared a "protected landscape" in 1981. g. an integral part of the Nature Park "Velebit".
MEMORIAL CENTER NIKOLA TESLA
Nikola Tesla (Smiljan, 10 July 1856th - New York, 7 January 1943.), a scientist and an innovator of world renown. He worked in the field of electrical engineering and radio, and invented the rotating magnetic field and the polyphase system of alternating current. In honor of the centennial of his birth, the International Electrotechnical Commission gave its name to the unit of magnetic induction Tesla. Encyclopedia Britannica classifies it among the 10 most important people in world history. For himself claimed he was not the inventor but the "discoverer of the things that exist in nature around us," In addition, he expressed a sense of beauty, nice manners and spoke six languages. MC Nikola Tesla was opened on 10 July 2006 years on the occasion of 150 years of birth Nikola Tesla. The center is located in Smiljan near city of Gospic and there we can see Tesla's birth house which has been arranged for visitors, testing station, multimedia hall and a children's park.
CAVE PARK GRABOVAČA
In Grabovača one is able to uncover the inappreciable affluence of underground karstic forms, 1/4 of the total number of protected speleological objects in Croatia. The complex of diverse and precious speleological forms, as far as the abundance of calcite creations is concerned, in a spatially restricted locality of only 1,5 km2. It consists of six caves, three of which are on the list of protected national geomorphologic monuments of nature, and one hole. Cave Park Grabovača is a complex texture of clean nature, it offers a variety of experience and values in an ecological, scientific, aesthetic and educational sense.
AADVENTURE CENTRE RIZVAN CITY
Only 30 minutes drive from Karlobag, in the heart of the Velebit Nature Park is an Adventure Centre Rizvan City.
